Rose quartz is known as the stone of gentleness and love and the stone of the heart. It inspires appreciation for love, beauty and relates to ones self and the environment as well as the universe. The pink colour is usually due to trace amounts of titanium, iron or manganese. Some rose quartz contains microscopic rutile needles which produces an asterism (luminous star like shape when cut). The rarest type of pink quartz has it’s colour caused by phosphate or aluminium.
